The Capital Area Coalition on Homelessness operates with a structured, transparent governance model. Our Board of Directors ensures strategic alignment, regulatory compliance, and community representation in the fight against homelessness.

Responsibilities
The Board of Directors bears the primary responsibility for the operational and strategic success of the Continuum of Care.
Establish and oversee committees, working groups, and task forces as necessary.
Direct the annual Point in Time Count and approve related methodologies.
Oversee the annual HUD NOFO competition, including the review and ranking process.
Designate and evaluate the Collaborative Applicant and HMIS Lead Agency.
Approve all governance and operational policies, ensuring transparent procedures.
Monitor CoC system performance and mandate strategic adjustments based on data.
